Finca Nuguo, sits between 1,700 and 2,000 masl in Renacimiento situated in the Noth-East of Panamá’s Volcan region.
It has five hectares of productive geisha plants, divided into six distinct zones; with each zone having a slightly different, experimental approach to farm practices.
José Gallardo (Pocho) having a BA, Masters, and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, has used his education and experience to experiment in processing, and drying. We believe this has helped to cement him as one of the best coffee producers in the world.
In 2021’s Best of Panama (BoP) competition, coffees from Finca Nuguo placed first and second in the natural and washed categories, respectively, fetching an Astro in Al price of $2,568 per pound in the natural category!
Recent harvests have been notably smaller compared to previous years’ so prices have risen to offset the Gallardo’s low volume. This tiny lot showcases how the unique terroir and microclimate of Finca Nuguo expresses itself thorough the Geisha varietal. Expect stone fruits, red fruit and a deep sweetness.
Colour can intuitively communicate
how coffee tastes.
At THREE we communicate how our coffees taste through colour. We have grouped all of the
coffees we offer into three different colour groups, based on their sensory characteristics. This
makes it easy for you to find coffees you like.
