Bambito Estate, a family-owned farm established in the early 1900s, is a highly acclaimed farm located in the Cerro Punta region of Panama's Chiriqui highlands. Today, Bambito is in its fifth generation as a family-owned business, led by Priscilla and her son Ivan.
Situated at an elevation between 1,660 and 1,800 meters above sea level, Bambito is nestled between two mountain ridges. These ridges create a unique microclimate and shield the coffee trees from the summer north winds. Nearby, two natural springs provide high-quality water for on-site coffee processing.
Bambito cultivates several varieties, including Caturra, Catuai, Typica, and Geisha. In the 2021 Best of Panama (BoP) Competition, Bambito claimed first place in the Geisha Washed category with 'Avalanche of Flavor,' a lot that sold for an impressive $1,502 per pound at auction. They also secured 5th place in the Geisha Natural category that same year.
Bambito Estate is a small farm with limited annual production. We are excited to be able to feature the hard work of Priscilla and the entire team at Bambito Estate.
Expect notes of florals, citrus, stone fruit, and a deep sweetness in the cup.
